PangaPanga box

This box is made from Panga Panga and is 80mm in diameter and 60mm tall. This is a wood I have not used before and found that it had a grain pattern very similar to Wenge but it cuts cleanly unlike Wenge. This grain pattern was clearly visible until finish was applied and the grain pattern has disappeared. The out side of the box was fluted using a D12 rosette and a universal cutting frame. The lid was decorated using an Arch 7 rosette and has a white CZ stone in the centre. It is finished with 3 coats of spray lacquer.
