Another Rose Engine

Today I went to see Gerry Marlow. He was rationalising his number of ornamental lathes and wanted to part with the Rose Engine that he used for demonstrations. As I am doing more demonstrations I wanted a lighter weight Rose Engine to take to clubs, so this fitted the bill. We agreed a price and I brought it home. There are a couple of minor modifications that I want to make to it and it will then become my portable Rose Engine and will get its first outing at Lincolnshire Association of Woodturners in June. I will need to make some rosettes for it as my existing ones won’t fit.
